Service details

This is a unique service for schools in the UK only.

Your subscription will cover you for one or two away trips, lasting no more than 2 days at a time, depending on the level you have chosen, and will include the following:

* A professional, HPC registered paramedic or GMC registered doctor will be available to talk to you on the telephone from the hours of 8am to 4pm during the period of your school trip.

* Advice on:
     First aid treatment
     Referrals to the GP or hospital
     Illness that is non life-threatening
     Prescription-only medicines and their use
     Other drugs and possible poisons

* Remote prescriptions when medicines run out or are lost/damaged during the trip, depending on locality and doctor’s availability

If you require this service for extra trips away and your subscription does not cover them, we can offer it for £120 + VAT per day.

This service does NOT replace the need to call an ambulance in an emergency. It  is only to be used for first aid incidents, non-acute illnesses or general enquiries relative to medicines, first aid or child health.

The on-call medic will answer your telephone call as soon as possible in a timely manner, but we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by volume of calls, signal availability (if medic is mobile) or problems outside of our control.

If a query cannot be fully answered at the time of the call,  a ring-back will be made by the medic when all the information required has been gathered.

You must inform us at least 30 days prior to the date on which you will be using this service. This will help us plan ahead for expected call volume.
